Collection: Rustic, Wood Fired Pieces
This collection of work was fired in my wood-fired kiln. The kiln reaches temperatures approaching 2400*F, over 18-24 hours, and is achieved only by the collaborative effort of many potters working together.
Each piece is partially glazed and partially bare clay tempered by the flames. The contrast between the two surfaces are intended to compliment the forms, yet provide for functional use.
The work is food-safe. (These pieces may be cross-listed under other collections.)
